    Brandon Warren

A faculty panel assembled to examine football student-athlete Brandon Warren's appeal of a denial of his transfer request released its decision to the university on Monday.

The panel, made up of three members of the FSU faculty and chaired by Dr. Joe Beckham, delivered the following written decision.

"It is the determination of the faculty panel that the information presented by Brandon Warren does not rise to the level of 'objective evidence that proves the student-athlete's extraordinary personal hardship' and is insufficient to support his appeal of the NCAA and FSU transfer policy. Panel members were unanimous in their conclusions that the appeal should be denied and the transfer rule should be enforced."

Specific details can not be released by the university on the issue without violating student privacy issues.

I'm pretty sure everyone including UT fans knew he wasn't going to get his release.

As far as I know he still has one appeal left, to the NCAA, and still has a chance at a hardship.

Either way he prolly won't be able to play this year for any team, because he didn't attend school anywhere this semester and has fallen behind on his academics.

Why not just play 1AA one year then go to UT?

Since he wasn't granted a release it's a lil more complicated then that.

More than likley he'll go JUCO for fall '07 and spring '08. Then go to UT in fall '08 and redshirt, then he'll return as a redshirt Jr in fall '09.

Thats a shame. If he didnt want to be a part of the team, they should have just released him. I guess they are trying to show other guys on the team that they cant pull the same thing.
